NComputing Expands in Latin America; Opens Central Hub in Mexico

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - February 26, 2008) - NComputing, the leading provider of desktop virtualization software and hardware, today announced it is further expanding into Latin America and has opened a new office in Mexico City, Mexico. The new office will serve as the company's central hub for all of NComputing's activities in Central and South America and will enable NComputing to provide strong customer service while continuing to execute upon its strategy of selectively growing its roster of channel partners.

NComputing has already been very active in Latin America, working with major partners like LT Solutions in Mexico and ORY Solutions Group in Brazil. The company has already deployed tens of thousands of its desktop virtualization solutions across Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and many other Latin American countries. Recently, the state of Mexico deployed 3,000 seats of NComputing technology in schools and government offices, the largest deployment of desktop virtualization technology ever in the state. In total, NComputing has already deployed more than 4,500 virtual PC seats in Mexico.

"Mexico and Latin America have hundreds of millions of people who want computing access but, until now, couldn't afford it," said Stephen Dukker, Chairman and CEO of NComputing. "We at NComputing are changing the economic model of computing by making PC access affordable to virtually everyone, including some of the world's most underserved markets, like Central and South America."

"NComputing's virtual desktops are affordable, easy to deploy, easy to maintain and save large amounts of energy," said Jorge Camil, owner of LT Solutions. "The 90% reduction in energy consumption is especially critical in Latin American countries, where electricity is expensive and limited."

Mike Garcia, a 20-year veteran of the PC, technology and consulting industry, has been appointed as the office's general manager and will play a pivotal role in continuing to lead NComputing's Latin America initiatives. He is responsible for channel and partner development, and sales and marketing for all of NComputing's business in the region. Garcia has an impressive track record of helping companies grow their business in Latin America. As the founder and owner of an independent management consulting firm, Garcia has helped such companies as IBM, Panasonic, AOL, Delta Airlines and many others to solidify their presence in Latin America. Prior to starting his consultancy, Garcia served as a senior manager for eBusiness strategy and planning at IBM; as a senior consultant for Ingram Micro; and as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

"I look forward to helping NComputing achieve its goal of providing affordable PCs to the next billion people," said Garcia. "I am also excited to be part of a high-growth company that is uniquely positioned to deliver significant opportunities in the virtual PC market for many years to come."

The NComputing solution is based on a simple fact: today's PCs are so powerful that the vast majority of applications only use a small fraction of the computer's capacity. NComputing's virtualization software and hardware tap this unused capacity so that it can be simultaneously shared by multiple users. The NComputing virtualization software is loaded onto a standard Windows or Linux PC. Each user's monitor, keyboard, and mouse connect to the shared PC through a small and highly reliable NComputing access device. The device itself has no CPU, memory, or moving parts so it is easy to deploy and maintain. Over 500,000 NComputing systems have been deployed by 15,000 organizations to slash their computing costs as much as 70% and electric consumption by 90%.

NComputing and LT Solutions will demonstrate the desktop virtualization software and hardware to prospective customers and resellers at Expo Comm in Mexico City, February 26-29 at booth #726.
