NComputing to Lead Desktop Virtualization Panel and Exhibit at UBTech 2014

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – June 13, 2014 – NComputing, a leader in client virtualization, today announced its participation at UBTech 2014, a national summit on technology and leadership in higher education. The event will be held June 16-18, 2014, in Las Vegas.

UBTech 2014 will focus on innovation across higher education campuses and will feature over 70 workshops and sessions covering key technologies (infrastructure and classroom), facilities planning and design, marketing, finance and more. The conference will provide attendees with a platform to exchange ideas, insights and lessons learned with colleagues from colleges and universities around the country.

Higher education, in particular, is in desperate need of a new computing model. Resource and budget constraints, along with bring-your-own-device (BYOD) and mobility needs, have fueled the conversation about desktop virtualization. NComputing is the fastest growing desktop virtualization company in the world, with more than 70,000 customers and 20 million daily users in 140 countries. Educational institutions are benefiting from NComputing’s innovative and award-winning technology and providing impressively quick time-to-value, high performance and the most affordable desktop virtualization solutions available today.

At UBTech 2014, NComputing Solutions Engineer Rich Severson will join Thomas Hoover from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and Jarrett Piner from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, in a panel session titled “Desktop Virtualization: Go Big or Go Small.”  Hoover and Piner will discuss their own journeys assessing desktop virtualization and selecting the approach that best suited their needs. Attendees will learn about their successes with NComputing technology and about different desktop virtualization options for higher educational institutions of every size, budget and technical experience level.

To learn more about the benefits of desktop virtualization and NComputing’s solutions, attendees can visit NComputing at booth #215. Additional details on the speaking session can be found below.
