The Globe is a public elementary school in de Tarwewijk, located in the Charlois district of Rotterdam. The school was established in August 1995 through the merger of two schools: Dubbelspoor, on Zwartewaal Street, and Dubbeldekker, on Den Hertig Street. The two locations employ a total of 58 staff serving 425 students. The Globe is a diverse school open to everyone, with respect for all cultural and religious backgrounds.
De Globe is een openbare basisschool die in de Tarwewijk ligt in de Rotterdamse deelgemeente Charlois. De school staat open voor iedereen, met respect voor ieders culturele en/of levens-beschouwelijke achtergrond. De naam De Globe is in augustus 1995 ingevoerd na de fusie van de scholen Dubbelspoor aan de Zwartewaalstraat en De Dubbeldekker aan de Den Hertigstraat. De keuze viel op de naam De Globe omdat de leerlingen uit alle delen van de wereld afkomstig zijn en bijna 40 verschillende nationaliteiten hebben.
