NComputing Strengthens Management Team With Appointment of Raj Shah as Chief Marketing Officer

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - October 8, 2007) - NComputing, the leading provider of virtual PC solutions, today announced the appointment of Raj Shah as the company's first Chief Marketing Officer. Shah will play a key role in directing the company's continued rapid expansion around the world. Shah is a computer industry executive with twenty years of marketing, channel and sales experience that spans start-ups, fast-growth companies and large enterprises.

"NComputing is a unique company with an important global mission of bringing PC access to the next billion users who can't afford the cost of an individual PC," said Chairman and CEO Stephen Dukker. "Raj's extensive experience in building successful international companies and his knowledge of developing country markets are well-aligned with our growth objectives. In addition to building our worldwide marketing presence, Raj will also lead our efforts in key strategic markets like India, where the potential impact of our solution is significant."

NComputing technology enables up to 30 simultaneous users to run their own applications from low-cost virtual PC terminals that tap the otherwise unused capacity of a single personal computer. The company has sold more than 500,000 virtual PC seats in 70 countries around the world within two years of introducing its technology to the marketplace. The Republic of Macedonia is deploying 160,000 NComputing virtual PCs across its entire K-12 school system in order to bring every public school student in Macedonia into the information economy. The NComputing solution costs as little as $70 per seat and reduces energy consumption by 90 percent compared to a standard PC. The system is compatible with Windows, Linux and standard PC applications. NComputing has won numerous technology awards including The Wall Street Journal's Technology Innovator Award for computing systems.

Shah previously served as CMO for PC blade maker ClearCube Technology. He was the co-founder of SiteStuff, a leading e-procurement service (acquired by Yardi Systems) and the VP of Marketing of pcOrder (acquired by Trilogy). Prior to pcOrder, Shah was a senior manager at McKinsey & Company, one of the world's most respected management consulting firms. At McKinsey, Shah helped technology, consumer goods, retail and manufacturing clients improve their operations, marketing, and organizational effectiveness. Raj graduated with an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern) and a bachelor of science in Accounting from LSU.

"NComputing is a revolutionary technology that has already enriched the lives of half a million students and workers around the world and I am honored to join a team that will bring affordable computing to the next billion people," said Shah. "We see an interesting inflection point in the computer industry, and our combination of simple virtualization software and ultra low-cost hardware uniquely positions us to address under-served geographies and industry segments that simply cannot afford a traditional computing approach."
