NComputing’s N-series thin clients to Support XenApp & XenDesktop 7.5

Today Citrix™ continued to bolster their award-winning application and desktop virtualization portfolio by announcing the upcoming releases for XenApp® 7.5 and XenDesktop® 7.5. Thanks to our strong partnership with Citrix, NComputing™ is also proud to announce that we intend to deliver a future release of our N-series® Citrix® Ready HDX™ Verified line of thin clients that will support these new XenApp and XenDesktop releases.

NComputing has a strong history of partnership with Citrix. In fact, the N-series was the first thin client to leverage a Linux-based System-on-Chip (SoC) technology to support Citrix. Because of this great partnership, we’re always pretty excited when Citrix releases new versions of their XenApp and XenDesktop software. These new releases - along with Citrix Receiver for Linux - allow us to further enhance the experience that our N-series can deliver to Citrix customers. When Citrix strengthens their product, it strengthens our N-series experience as well, and at the end of the day that’s what our customers are looking for.

In this case, XenApp 7.5 will include innovative enhancements to the Citrix HDX technology that will continue to boost user productivity. It will also be built on the FlexCast Management Architecture that is already being used by XenDesktop. The 7.5 release of XenDesktop will include hybrid cloud provisioning and supports an “any cloud” strategy that gives customers the freedom to deploy the right cloud solution for them. These releases currently give Citrix the only unified architecture for application and desktop delivery.

The N-series is already unique in the thin client market because it is designed from the ground-up to only support Citrix virtualization solutions. This simplicity and focus provides a huge value for customers who are looking to use an endpoint that provides their end users with quick, easy, and seamless access to Citrix resources which is always a must have for customers. And, the affordability of the N-series has helped organizations save up to 40% on endpoint acquisition, 60% on endpoint operations and management, and 90% on energy and power consumption – all without sacrificing the experience that end users need to accomplish their tasks.

As customers begin to deploy XenApp 7.5 and XenDesktop 7.5, we intend (and are looking forward) to combining all of the cool new features in 7.5 with all of the existing strengths of the N-series and continuing to deliver the best end user experience to Citrix customers.
