eLearning Africa - Ugandan University Builds Robust IT Program
Africans have worked with us and our local partners to create their own innovative solutions for widening access to information technology in education and training for several years now. In the run-up to the continent’s most important event on ICT in education – eLearning Africa – we’re looking back on some educational success stories with our desktop virtualisation solutions in Africa.
Nkumba University was facing an administrative nightmare for its important department of computing and IT. It wanted to widen access to ICT for its students while facing tight budgets and high maintenance costs of existing computer labs. NComputing desktop virtualisation is enabling the university to meet the increased computing needs of students. This is helped by the lower set up and operational costs as well as how the devices provide students with a better computing experience.
